The growth of GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients continues into 2023, starting the year off with a hire in the Distribution team with the appointment of Matt Dewing (Strategic Relationship Manager).
Matt joins with over 10 years’ experience in the private client market; having worked with numerous key broker and affinity partners.
With a passion for business development, Matt will help build and implement the private client distribution strategy, further strengthening existing broker partnerships and identifying new opportunities in the market within the UK.
Commenting on his new role, Matt said:
I am very excited to be joining the GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients team and to start working closely with our broker partners. As part of a growing team, with an ever-expanding network of brokers across the UK, it is a great time to be joining the company. With our customer outcome focussed approach, strong proposition backed by Munich Re and several further enhancements planned this year, I look forward to seeing many of you in the market soon.
From an underwriting perspective, the experienced team is strengthened by the appointment of Bea Cooling, who joined the business in October 2022.
Having started her career in broking in 2016, Bea quickly found an interest for underwriting and moved to a composite insurer in 2018, where she was an underwriter in the Private Clients team where she has gained experience dealing with both household and motor risks.
Bea’s primary responsibility is to provide a bespoke underwriting service to our broker partners, whilst building upon existing and new relationships.
Reflecting on her appointment, Bea said:
I’m thrilled to have joined GrovesJohnWestrup at such an exciting time in our growth trajectory. The service driven approach, underpinned using technology with the broker portal attracted me to the role and together with the backing of Munich Re; it’s an opportunity that I’m relishing. I also thank Munich Re for supporting my continuing professional development as I undertake my industry qualifications.
We are really pleased to bring in Matt and Bea into the GrovesJohnWestrup team. Their experience and expertise will be invaluable in continuing our service levels and building relationships with our brokers as we realise our growth ambitions.
